Our Vision

What we do: Collective Education Foundation caters to the ever changing specific needs of educational entrepreneurs and the community of students and families they support. Specifically, we focus support on two educational programs, the Outer Banks Montessori Collective and Wilbur Gardens. As our non-profit grows, we also aim to support other local NC microschools and community education programs with any specific urgent needs or unexpected expenses. Unless we are catering to urgent humanitarian efforts (ie. hurricane relief) all funds go directly toward learning opportunities and materials, scholarship funds, community outreach projects, enrichment classes, and teacher development. These funds allow us to support more learners in more ways.

Long term vision: In addition to supporting educational networks such as ours, our long term vision is to purchase a building or buildable property where we can expand our Collective vision! We want to create a slightly bigger intentional learning space where all kinds of learners can thrive in a small, safe environment full of art and wonder. We envision our own outdoor space with natural playground spaces for imaginative play and discovery. We plan on purchasing a 15 passenger van to accommodate field trips and make outreach adventures easier. We love giving back to our community so many of our field trips include service projects and charity endeavors. Our students see their immediate community working together and constantly supporting each other through all phases of life and we are excited to see where this mindset takes them.

Collectively, we know that kids learn best where they feel safe and heard. We are incredibly grateful to do this meaningful work each day and we thank you for your support!
